In early 2024, we partnered with Secure24 to develop a serverless AWS-based API application that bridges the gap between their on-site hardware and Camio's AI video analysis platform.
This system automates secure gym entry by integrating CCTV and access control event data with real-time AI-powered monitoring. Built using Node.js Lambdas and API Gateway, the solution includes a scalable management plane and transforms data en route to Camio for effective AI processing, enabling Secure24 to grow their monitoring service for gyms.

A serverless AWS solution
We developed a serverless AWS application that acts as a bridge between Secure24's on-site hardware and Camio's AI platform.
The solution also functions as an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) system, ensuring data from gym access control and CCTV systems is processed and transformed into a format optimised for the AI service ingestion.
Key components of the solution include:
- Amazon API Gateway: Receives HTTP transmissions from the on-premises hardware and facilitates secure, scalable communication between hardware and Camio's AI platform via their API.
- AWS Lambda: Node.js functions process and transform data for real-time analysis by Camio.
- Amazon S3: Provides reliable storage for access logs and processed data.
- Authorisation & security: Handling web traffic and access tokens securely, ensuring only authorised devices can access the system.
- Centralised management plane: Enables Secure24 to deploy, monitor, and manage gym entry systems across multiple locations.
